The same 1โ100 scale for a single page. Switch to Exact URLs to measure the strength of specific articles or landing pages.
The share of similar sites that were penalized by Google. Low (1โ30%) is healthy; high (61%+) deserves a closer look before you link.
Domain Authority is a score from 1 to 100 developed by Moz that predicts how likely a whole website is to rank in search results compared with other sites. It is calculated from the number and quality of linking root domains. Higher is stronger, and the scale is logarithmic โ going from 20 to 30 is much easier than from 70 to 80.
Page Authority uses the same 1โ100 scale but scores a single page instead of the whole domain. Use the "Exact URLs" mode to check the PA of specific pages such as blog posts or product pages.
It depends on your niche and competitors. As a rough guide: 1โ20 is new or weak, 21โ40 is average, 41โ60 is good, 61โ80 is strong and 81โ100 is excellent (big brands and major publishers). Compare yourself with the sites you compete against rather than chasing a number.
Spam Score is the percentage of sites with similar features that Moz found to be penalized or banned by Google. 1โ30% is low, 31โ60% is medium and 61โ100% is high. A high Spam Score is a warning sign, not proof of spam โ always review the site yourself.
You can paste up to 20 domains or URLs per check and check up to 50 per day for free. Put one per line or separate them with commas. Duplicates and invalid entries are removed automatically.
Moz needs to discover links pointing to your site before it can score it. New sites, or sites with very few backlinks, usually start at DA 1 and grow as they earn links from other websites. Moz updates its index regularly, so changes can take a few weeks to show.
No. DA and PA are third-party metrics from Moz, not Google ranking factors. They are useful for comparing sites, evaluating link opportunities and tracking SEO progress over time.
Results come from the Moz Links API. To keep the tool free, results are cached for up to 7 days; the "cached" label shows when a result was served from cache.
